Beef & Sour Cream

Beef, Pantry Meal

Print the recipe card!  beef and sour cream

This five minute pantry meal comes from Jan Jackson’s book “100 Day Pantry”.  I’m grateful to her for allowing me share it here! We’ve really enjoyed this ‘nothing to it’ meal — I’m sure you will too!

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

1 (14 oz.) can beef broth

1 (10 – 15 oz) can beef

1 (15 oz) can diced tomatoes

1 (12 oz.) can V-8 juice

8 oz. noodles (3 cups)

1 cup sour cream powder

1/2 cup dried onion

2 tsp. celery salt

2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce

Bagged as a Pantry Meal

Instructions:

Mix sour cream with 1/4 – 1/2 cup broth.  Set aside.  Combine all other ingredients.  Simmer covered, until noodles are done, stirring as needed.  Stir in sour cream mixture heat through (sauce will thicken as it stands).  Serve.

Cover and simmer until noodles are cooked.

Add in sour cream mixture

Dinner is done!

  1. Great idea! I think I might even add some dehydrated mushrooms to this bag. I have a question, what do you put the worchestshire sauce into to store in the bag. Or do you just leave it out of the bag and add it when you make the meal? As an alternative I found powdered worchestshire sauce online, I’m going to use it for the first time to make this meal.
